2024 Creating Apart, Together

In May 2024 I was part of this major exhibition at M16 Gallery Canberra featuring 25 artists from Networks Australia.  A feature of the exhibition was each artist's use of a storyboard that showed the development of their work.

2022 Arts Residency, Skopelos Foundation for the Arts

In August 2022 I was thrilled to be part of a summer arts residency on the island of Skopelos, Greece.  My time on the island in a fully equipped art studio enabled me to investigate botanical dyeing using local materials in addition to investigating various monoprinting methods. Post-residency I spent a further month in Athens where I continued my explorations with artist book structures, resulting in a series of small works that were later shown at M16 Chutespace (Canberra) in 2023.

Site specific - artists respond to Rusten House, exhibition until 30 April 2022
Site specific - artists respond to Rusten House was conceived as a way of drawing public attention to the history of Rusten House, Queanbeyan, NSW, its architecture, surrounding heritage garden, uses of the building and relationship to the community.

Inspired by the concept, fifteen artists from Networks Australia researched objects at the Queanbeyan Museum and attended a talk by a local historian outlining the history and available resources for research.  They each then developed their own creative works in sculpture, drawing, textiles, painting and installation, focusing on nursing and hospital/social history and how this has evolved over time and the architecture, plants and gardens considering the changes from the Victorian era to the present day.
